General Terms and Conditions of Registration
2026-2027 season
These general terms and conditions apply to activities organised by Maëlle Danse asbl, whether at le 14b or in other spaces where the association organises its classes (in particular Poseidon, Accordanse, and others, without limitation). Other teachers and associations, independent of Maëlle Danse asbl, also rent spaces at le 14b to organise their own classes and activities; these are governed by their own terms, separate from this document.
1. Association membership
By accepting these general terms and conditions, you become a « Participant » in the activities organised by Maëlle Danse asbl (company number BE 665 695 360), whose registered office is at Avenue Dailly 26, 1030 Schaerbeek (Brussels), hereinafter referred to as « the school », and whose activities take place at the le 14b premises, Rue Fernand Neuray 14b, 1050 Ixelles (also known as « Quatorz(BE) »), as well as in other spaces (in particular Poseidon, Accordanse, and others, without limitation).
From the purchase of a card of 10 classes or more, the Participant becomes an « Adhering Member » (hereinafter the « Member ») of the association, under the conditions set out in Article 4.
Anyone registering automatically and unconditionally agrees to these general terms and conditions, whether or not they are a Member. This contract is governed by Belgian law, and only the Justice of the Peace of the judicial district of Brussels has jurisdiction.
2. Class cards – Payment
The Participant is informed that their registration takes effect from the date of purchase of their single class or class card. This registration is strictly personal and may under no circumstances be transferred to or used by a third party. Attendance is recorded at each class; should a Participant not be up to date with payment, they may be excluded from the class until the situation is regularised.
The school reserves the right to require proof of identity when registering a new participant, and may at any time ask the Participant to verify their identity.
The school does not offer subscriptions. Access to classes is exclusively through the purchase of a single class or a prepaid class card. The following options are available:
Payment must be made in full before attending the first class, preferably via the Eversport platform (online), or otherwise in person with the teacher (the school has no reception desk). This advance payment is the sole confirmation of registration and the right to participate.
3. Card validity – Absences
Before purchasing a card, each Participant may try a class by purchasing a single class. Trials are therefore paid for, except for free trial classes explicitly advertised as such by the school.
No refund will be given for classes not attended under a card that has already been used, except in the cases provided for below.
The school reserves the right to accept or refuse the participation of a Participant, even one already registered, in its activities. If such a decision is made, the school will refund the classes not yet used on the card concerned.
Illness or long-term accident
In the event of illness or an accident lasting an extended period (at least one month), the validity period of the current card may be extended, subject to:
4. Insurance – Accidents – State of health
The Participant declares that they are in good health and that no known medical reason prevents them from taking part in intense physical effort, whether brief or prolonged. Attending the school is prohibited in the event of infection, contagious illness, or injury posing a risk to the health and safety of other participants.
Member status (card of 10 classes or more)
Purchasing a card of 10 classes or more automatically grants the Participant Member status with Maëlle Danse asbl. This status is deemed to settle the registration fee and the personal accident insurance premium taken out by the school with Ethias, via the FDD; no separate amount is due for this.
Single classes, cards of fewer than 10 classes, and one-off events
Participants registered for a single class, holders of a card of fewer than 10 classes, or taking part in a one-off event (workshop, themed evening, etc.), are not considered Members of the association. As such, they are not covered by the insurance taken out by the school, and must arrange their own insurance covering their dance practice. The management declines all liability in the event of an accident occurring in this context.
Any accident must be reported to the school by e-mail, with confirmation of receipt obtained by return e-mail, within 48 hours; failing this, no claim will be considered.
Furthermore, each Participant declares that they are covered by personal/family civil liability insurance, which will apply in the event of damage caused to the facilities or equipment made available to them, as well as to other participants.
The Participant (or their legal guardian, for minors) will be held liable for damage caused to the building, the studios, or the equipment of the school and its external providers.
5. Loss – Theft
The school cannot under any circumstances be held liable for loss or theft occurring in the changing rooms or dance studios. Participants are asked to look after their belongings. Lost property is kept for one month and may be claimed from the teacher.
6. House rules – Conduct – Our values
The Participant declares that they have read the house rules (displayed on the premises and set out below), as well as the Quatorz(BE) Charter of Values annexed hereto, and agrees to comply with them. Through their behaviour, everyone contributes to making le 14b a welcoming, respectful and inspiring place — in the spirit of respect, kindness, cooperation and inclusion promoted by the Charter.
Participants and anyone accompanying them must respect the premises, the equipment, the management, the teachers, and other participants. In the event of damage caused by negligence or carelessness, the Participant will compensate the school for the loss suffered.
A few important points from the house rules:
Participation in performances and shows organised by the school is not compulsory. Participants wishing to take part must register specifically for them and, where applicable, pay the participation fees specific to the event, regardless of the number of classes otherwise attended.
If a Participant decides not to register for an event linked to their class (show, performance), they must accept any resulting practical inconvenience (choreography rehearsals built into the class, costume fittings, etc.).
The school reserves the right to refuse the participation of a Participant in a performance or show if the Participant:
The school complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as well as applicable Belgian privacy legislation.
The Participant's personal data is recorded in the school's database (in particular via the Eversport platform) and processed for the administrative, financial and operational management of registrations for classes, events and facility bookings, as well as, based on the Participant's consent, to inform them of new products and services and as part of promotional and information campaigns.
Personal data is not transferred to third parties, except where legally required. It is neither sold nor lent, and remains under the control of Maëlle Danse asbl.
Data is kept for 3 years and may be consulted by the association's administrative staff and the staff supervising the activities the Participant is registered for.
In accordance with the GDPR, the Participant may exercise their right of access, rectification, deletion, or withdrawal of consent regarding their data (or that of a family member for whom they are responsible) by contacting the secretariat of Maëlle Danse asbl: [email protected].
For any question relating to data protection and the exercise of their rights, the Participant may contact the association's secretariat directly at the address above.
By registering, the Participant (or their legal guardian, for minors) assigns all of their image rights and the exploitation rights attached to their contributions (including vocal contributions) provided as part of the activities of Maëlle Danse asbl and le 14b, for purposes including advertising, promotion, information, and marketing, for all products and services. Exploitation rights include the full rights of adaptation, reproduction, and performance, as well as all secondary usage rights, on all media and by all technical means known or yet to be discovered.
Any Participant or parent who does not wish photos or videos of themselves to be taken or used must inform the management in writing before registering.
Published class schedules may be changed without notice and shall under no circumstances constitute grounds for a refund. The Participant acknowledges having read these general terms and conditions, available at maelledanse.com.
House Rules — le Quatorz(BE)
Exclusive property of Maëlle Danse asbl — Rue Fernand Neuray 14b, 1050 Ixelles.
These house rules apply to activities organised by Maëlle Danse asbl on the premises of le Quatorz(BE). Where its activities take place in other spaces (Poseidon, Accordanse, and others), the house rules specific to those venues apply in addition to the general terms and conditions.
Classes run from September to June. To confirm their registration, the Participant must:
No refund will be given for missed classes, except in the case of an injury sustained during the activity or a long-term incapacity supported by a medical certificate (see General Terms and Conditions, Article 3).
Guidelines during classesThroughout classes, everyone is expected to show respect towards teachers and other participants, in the spirit of the Quatorz(BE) Charter of Values. Mobile phones must be switched off for the entire duration of the class.
In the event of loss or theft of any object or item of clothing, Maëlle Danse asbl and le 14b cannot be held liable.
Parents or companions are not permitted to watch classes, except during « open house » sessions. Likewise, friends or visitors of students are not permitted to watch a class, except with prior authorisation from the artistic direction.
Repeated disruption of a class by a participant, parent, or companion may result in the temporary or permanent exclusion of the person concerned.
Dress codeAttire must be appropriate and suited to each class. For any question about suitable attire, please ask the teacher directly. A few basic rules:
Teacher absenceIn the event of a teacher's absence, participants will be notified by e-mail, message, or phone wherever possible. It is the responsibility of parents or companions of minor students to check, before leaving the student unattended, that the class is indeed taking place.
Shows, performances and rehearsalsLe 14b and the teachers who teach there may organise, resources permitting, end-of-season shows or other one-off events. The management is free to set the date of these events and/or to cancel them if optimal conditions are not met (budget, artists, venue, etc.).
Students wishing to take part in a show will receive a specific registration form. Students who have not returned their registration form on time will not be able to take part. Participation fees specific to the event may be charged. Indicated rehearsal times must be strictly observed.
Parents or relatives wishing to take part and help with the smooth running of a show (costumes, make-up, sets, etc.) may let the artistic direction know.
FacilitiesEntry into a dance studio (Salle Rhythm or Salle Ghost Note) is only permitted at the teacher's invitation. Dancers are asked to respect the furniture and equipment of le 14b.
It is furthermore strictly forbidden to:
Right to imageBy registering, the student or their legal guardian grants Maëlle Danse asbl the right to take photos and videos (see General Terms and Conditions, Article 8) and to use them for the purpose of promoting and publicising the activities of le 14b. Any student or parent who does not wish photos or videos to be taken must inform the teacher or management before registering.
Breach of these rulesAny breach of these rules may result in temporary or permanent exclusion, with no refund of any kind.

- Participation in a one-off event (workshop, themed evening, etc.) : registration and pricing specific to the event.

- providing a copy of the medical certificate confirming inability to attend classes for at least one month.

- the rooms are not accessible (except with special authorisation) to outside persons during classes;
- arriving on time is required; a teacher may refuse access to a participant arriving more than 15 minutes after the start of class, with no refund for the session missed;
- respect and courtesy towards teachers are required; in the event of non-compliance, the school reserves the right to refuse or bar access to anyone whose behaviour justifies it, with no refund.
Participation in performances and shows organised by the school is not compulsory. Participants wishing to take part must register specifically for them and, where applicable, pay the participation fees specific to the event, regardless of the number of classes otherwise attended.
If a Participant decides not to register for an event linked to their class (show, performance), they must accept any resulting practical inconvenience (choreography rehearsals built into the class, costume fittings, etc.).
