INTENSIVE MONTHLY WORKSHOPSYou wish to train in the Salimpour formats but you are unable to join Maëlle's weekly classes? Or you are already training in the Salimpour formats but you wish to train more intensively? Then these intensive monthly workshops are perfect for you.
Each workshop consists in two hours of Suhaila Salimpour technique and one hour of Jamila Salimpour steps and cymbals playing, with a nice break and a cool down with some good stretching. It is a multi-level workshop, which means that beginning and more advanced dancers train together and are given specific exercices adapted to their own level. In order to take part in the monthly workshops, you must already know the basics of the Salimpour formats. As a minimum prerequisite, you should have attended:

Regular monthly workshop conditions Schedule: one Sunday per month, 12.30pm-3.45pm Prerequisite: students must have taken at least 8 weekly classes or one monthly workshop open to beginners. Location:
What to wear: yoga/dance pants and a tight T-shirt, no skirts and no belts with coins or beads. What to bring: Bring a towel to cover the yoga mat and because you will be sweating, as well as some water and snacks for the break. Bring your finger cymballs (zills) as well (if you don't have any, I have a few pairs for lending). To register, contact Maëlle! Yearly ASBL membership fees: To take part in the monthly workshops, you must have filled the registration form and paid the membership fee on Maëlle Danse ASBL's bank account (IBAN BE64 001 7956789 52/ BIC GEBABEBB). The 15€ yearly membership fee covers insurance and administrative expenses. It is not transferable nor refundable. It provides the status of member of the non-profit organisation. This status is valid until the end of the school year and is renewable every year. If you don't pay the membership fee, you are not insured and you are therefore not allowed to take part in the workshop. |
